INTRODUCING...
Lisa Shanafelt is an NPSA Project Associate who has
volunteered throughout 2010 to learn about the program while
contributing excellent ideas and enhancements. We have
worked to streamline the NPSA and to delegate activities
involved with its operation while keeping access to
properties and unique native plants possible.
Lisa is a UW-Tacoma graduate who was involved with the
Restoration Ecology Network. Ask her about plant ID if
you are uncertain of what to dig because she knows her
stuff, especially prairie plants! I greatly value her
spirited outlook and her numerous ideas!
ADDITIONAL SALVAGE RESOURCES:
We plan to expand the types of resources available through
the NPSA. In particular, we are evaluating
methods of prairie and forest soil stock-piling, gathering
and preparation of live-stake cuttings, as well as wood
stumps, and the collection of mosses for use in research and
for other needs. |
